The screen in Admin Mode is where you enter information about each school in your district:
Click New School to find or create a new school and link it to your account.
Note: If you are a K-8 or K-12 school, you should create separate schools for elementary, middle, and high school. This is necessary so you can take daily attendance at the elementary level and period attendance at the secondary levels, and optionally set different grading periods and bell schedules for each.
Note: Each new school is created in a completely separate database. For district accounts, you must contact us to have all your schools grouped together under the same district. This is necessary to better manage your data for the whole district, while still allowing each school to have independent settings.
The Acronym is an abbreviation of your school name, like GHS or UCLA. It is required to label teachers' gradebooks if they teach at more than one school.
The Address helps everyone distinguish your school from others with the same name. It is also used as the return address when printing Report Cards and login instructions for mailing.
Your School Website link is for our reference only. To provide a web link to students and parents, teachers should enter their own websites on the screen.
The Level sets options appropriate for Elementary, Secondary, and College. The main difference is that College hides many of the parent features. (Teachers have a similar option. See Elementary/Secondary/College)
The School Code is used only to match data with other software when importing/exporting data. Leave blank if not needed.
The District Name is the full name of your school district. This is needed only if you have multiple schools in the same account.
Check "Serving multiple school districts" if you're a charter or private school that reports students' grades and attendance back to their resident districts.
The Time Zone affects the local times displayed on reports, and it determines when to email Parent Alerts. If blank, it defaults to Pacific time, and Alerts are not sent.
The School Logo appears on printed Report Cards and login instructions letters (but not in email). Use a high resolution graphic for better print quality.
