Troubleshoot Printing Index

Pages are clipped at the edge, or the report doesn't fit on the page

•

Check your Browser Settings to make sure it isn't wasting space with its own margins, header and footer.

•

If the "Layout" menu is set to "Landscape" on the webpage, make sure the browser's Page Setup is set to Landscape too.

•

Set the "Text size" menu to something smaller.

•

Reduce the number of columns per page (if applicable).

The white rectangle in the background shows you the paper width, so you can preview if the report is going to fit or not.

The colored bars/boxes are not printing

•

Check your Browser Settings to make sure it is set to print background colors.

•

Make sure your printer isn't running out of color ink or toner.

•

Try changing the menu from "Color" to "Grayscale", especially when printing on a laser printer.

Some pages are blank, or nothing prints

•

Older versions of Firefox have a printing bug where the second page of reports is blank. Upgrade to the latest version of Firefox.

•

Some browsers or printers choke on large print jobs, so try printing in smaller batches — e.g., print report cards for each grade level separately, rather than the whole school at once.

Seating chart is too small

You probably accidentally added an empty desk far from all the others, which scales everything smaller to fit on the page. To fix this, go to the screen, scroll all the way to the bottom right to find the stray desk, and click it to remove it.
